The course is designed for employees who are responsible for EMS processes or auditing EMS, as well as for those who are about to engage in these activities.

The course aims at giving the managers and internal auditors the necessary knowledge in ISO 14001:2004 and the accompanying requirements, as well as at developing practical skills for management and auditing of Environmental Management Systems. For experienced managers and internal auditors - the course aims to enrich their knowledge, improve their skills and stimulate the process of continuous improvement in the represented organizations.

The course is interactive and goes with the presentation of the training material from the lecturer and its mastering through active participation in individual and group exercises.

The course participants are to pass an exam on the material that has been taught.

1. Basic concepts in the environmental sphere and management. Exercises.

2. Exercises and requirements revision of ISO 14001:2004 concerning:

-structure of the system

-documentation

-manual

3. Exercises and revision of ISO 14001:2004 and requirements to:

-activity planning

-operational control

-monitoring

-continuous improvement process

4. Exercises and requirements revision of ISO 19011:2002 concerning:

-planning, assessment and audits documentation

-personal and professional qualities of auditors and competence development

5. Practical exercises in:

- audit program development

-audit planning

-on-site documentary audit execution

- reports preparation concerning findings and conclusions from the audit

-auditors assessment

6. Written exam.
